The screen that greets LittleBigPlanet 3 players who want to play online right now. Many have pointed fingers at a single, aggrieved member of the community, spoken about stolen server keys, and claimed that thousands of junk levels were uploaded at one time as a DDOS attack to cripple servers.
Others refuse to believe those theories, believing more prosaic reasons are to blame, based more on a lack of support for the games as they get older. We will keep you updated on progress and appreciate the continued patience as we work to resolve the matter. I asked LBP player JakeLamba what it is that brought him back to the game so long after its release, and their reply feels like a very common sentiment. I just got reminded of all the amazing times I had in the game and how instrumental it was in promoting creativity in me as a child.
Though it's not just nostalgia that keeps bringing me back. I honestly think the game series is being slept on. The games have so much charm in them. It felt like the game was on a whole different level compared to others. The game had the perfect childhood, arts and crafts project feel to it. Really feeding into our growing imaginations at the time. Players return to, or have simply kept playing, LittleBigPlanet games because of the memories attached to them, and their relatively unique format — only the Mario Maker series really matches LittleBigPlanet for both profile and approach.
One user even says they now play it with their own child, after playing it themselves back in If increasing digitalization is a concern for those interested in game preservation, games that rely on online-driven, user-generated content should be treated like something of an endangered species.

Or is it? Comments 26 Comments for this article are now closed. This entire section is filled with enemies that can One-Hit Kill you with blasts. Good luck in trying to learn the timing of the final three turrets before the goal And then there is Into the Heart of the Negativitron. You see, this boss battle is why I am writing this review. If you have played the original enough to know about Boom Town's highly sensitive bombs and the obscene difficulty of the Bunker?
Neither of those are anything compared to the Negativitron boss battle. And you know why? The Negativitron battle is impossible! The first two sections are, but the final one is completely unplayable. There is also a gigantic creation mode, but that is the game's only plus.
Seriously, I think the person who wrote this CSM review was an agent for Media Molecule, and so were a lot of the users reviews which gave this game five stars. As for music, it is really hit or miss. A lot of the Amazon reviews which make sense in other words, are critical hated the game's music. I am not one of those people. The music is not well composed, but still decent. My main queer with it is it gets too repetitive. Levels are too hard, creation mode is too hard to use seriously, they never even have a SINGLE tool to get the camera from not just showing the floor when making a cut-scene level , user created levels are absolutely AMAZING, but this is a review of the game itself, not online interactions.
Overall, this game is bad, and I need a box of tissues whenever I play it. For one reason or another, this game made me wish we I had never played it.
Even if there is a good idea in there somewhere, it is buried under so many bad ones and poor execution I cannot recommend you waste your time on it. Now, onto the puny, miserable, not worth it content! Violence: Cartoon and mild. In this disappointing side-scrolling platformer as you help a small doll traverse through whimsical environments, you run and jump through levels and avoid obstacles e.
Meanies crumble to pieces and disappear in puffs of smoke when defeated. In one level, dolls can be seen smacking one another to the ground. Mischief: Players can also customize levels by assigning belch and fart sound effects to various objects. Teen, 14 years old Written by Pop o dot March 20, Helped me decide. Had useful details. It's okay Not as good as LittleBigPlanet 3 Not as good as lbp3 but its okay. Read my mind. Teen, 13 years old Written by ReggaeShark May 13, One of the best games ever.
I pretty much spent 4 years coming home from school everyday to play Little Big Planet 2. I definitely made a few friends, and I also made a couple of girlfriends, none of which I talk to anymore, and I don't regret anything. But the problem that I see with this is the fact that I had no idea who I was jumping in a pod with. And sometimes, if I got lucky, someone would have their microphone on. But that's besides the point. But to end this off, I want everyone to know that guidance is suggested.
Be careful, and stay safe. Teen, 14 years old Written by Gamersnews32 May 14, Fun sequel, an improved story and fun multiplayer! Though it is fun, but I still prefer the first game.
Creative mode has a bigger variety of tools in this sequel, but a few things are still missing. Violence is mild, your character will be pop in a kid friendly way when hurt. You can shoot enemies that turn into puffs of clouds when hurt, with a helmet that shoots little balls that look like peas or green tennis balls.
Online play can be explicit. Strong language and toxic behaviour from other players and some levels players create can be pretty mature and inappropriate. This title contains: Ease of Play.
