I know that sunatarlp here on Amino does guides on gold farming so you can pop on his page to have a better idea :blush: My experience: I got mine years ago in Azshara but I wanted to give it a go to have an idea and I can confirm the drop rate is still very low.

Farmed Winterfall Village late at night for uninterrupted mob spawns. Just got this lil' guy! I'm a lil behind in my blacksmithing and cooking so i was in winterspring mining thorium. I noticed a few owlbeast and thought "well i can get some giant eggs for monster omelets" the 3rd one i killed he dropped!
If only i could be so lucky on the minifernal! Was flying around capturing pets missing from my list. Decided to hit Hyjal for the Nordrassil wisp. Caught one, then hopped over the hill to Winterspring. Echo isles, Pm server, 8 kills in the village and it dropped. Sometimes you get lucky, I usually never do. I know it will drop at some point I dream that place now! Got mine today! Seriously lucky. After about kills it dropped.
