This is ridiculous. I have bought many natural products for my hair. None worked for dandruff and frizz apart from Jason. I understand they are not per cent natural, but at least deliver results, while not being per cent artificial either. I have come out in a terrible rash since using jason aloe vera shampoo…. The reason I bought it was because I thought it would be better for my sensitive skin. It took me a while to figure out that it was the products which were meant to be healthier for my skin..
This stuff is horrible, you guys are ruining the Holistic world, worst product I have ever purchased, what a let down, I will never buy from this company again, it just simply does not work. I used Jason hair care and have felt extremely ill, I had severe vertigo headaches and nausea, as well as itching all over my body, after reading peoples reviews and checking the ingredients I was shocked and disgusted at the way these products are advertised as natural and organic when they are anything but that, I have washed this toxic muck of my hair and will never used these products again.
Dentists had told me to change my toothbrush, doctors has said I might be low in zinc, but nothing stopped the sores until I quit using toothpaste with SLS in it. Then, years later, I started noticing bumps on my scalp, and pinpointed the reason for it as being SLS in my shampoo. I thought I saw SLS in their shampoo, after buying it, but found it was Sodium Laureth Sulfoacetate, and discovered that the ingredient was made using coconut oil, and could find no mention of toxicity in that compound, upon researching it.
I will try it and see if I have any scalp problems before recommending it. One has to do a lot of research, and be careful not to misread ingredients—as it can make a huge difference, sometimes good, and sometimes bad!
I used the lavender, the chamomile and the cranberry Jason body wash with no allergic reaction. Then I decided to used the coconut because I was out out the other 3…. I have had the worse itchy, red skin for the past few weeks and finally realized the correlation. I thought it was my toilet tissue, detergent, etc…none of which had changed.
What a scary experience!!! Sometimes is says on the back of the package. I, along with my three daughters, use quite a few of the Jason products and have never suffered any discomfort or allergic-type reactions.
We use the tea tree body wash, the aloe shampoo and conditioner, the aloe moisturizing lotion on our faces and I use the Vitamin E creme on my hands multiple times throughout my work day in a healthcare facility. Many people are sensitive to products that contain aloe-vera and no matter the brand, you simply must avoid any product that contains that ingredient. Organic products are very overrated and very expensive.
I love their product line. Am using steroid cream to try and get rid of it. Can anyone recommend anything to help? I will not use anything else.. The shampoo and body wash are the only thing that has NOT broken out my face and body. Smells great, and stopped all of the weird little bumps and irritated skin.
I have been using it, since I had radiation treatment, and all of a sudden my skin and body would brake out with bumps on my head and ears, and skin irritation….. It took weeks and a many emails to get a reply.
I think we can all assume its a poorly run company that should not be supported. Tell the folks at Whole Foods to stop selling the junk from Jason. Interesting, but this is simply anecdotal evidence. I am having painful very very chapped lips from an allergy. I think it may be the Jason seafresh toothpaste…anyone have any reactions to it? I just love it. I am the most sensitive person, but I know my body just love it. Thanks God I have no problems with it.
I had been using it fine for a while until I shaved my armpits and applied it on afterwards. This led to a very nasty allergic reaction. I ended up getting hives all over my body. I lost my voice. I was like this for days and the hives would come and go. They were just enormous welts from head to literal toe. It took me a few days to stop using it but a couple of weeks to determine what it was. I know this post is old but just in case anyone else is experiencing something similar. I have been using Jason jojoba conditioner for the past month and just realized it is what has caused an all-over my body rash.
My eyelids are red, and it feels like I have poison ivy all over my body, but I know I do not have poison ivy. My scalp is beyond itchy and I am very uncomfortable. I hate to throw out a product, but I guess I need to.

Because new information is always becoming available, we are constantly evaluating our ingredient research and ensuring all our products are as safe and wholesome as you deserve. They began by making a pact to select only the purest, gentlest ingredients, and put them through a series of rigorous testing procedures that would reflect their high standards.
Over the years these tests have grown more rigorous. Hemlock is a great example of a natural ingredient to avoid! Also, ingredients that are innocuous individually can produce toxins when combined in formulations.
Finally, some natural ingredients can be irritating if too much is used. To ensure our products will retain their original integrity and quality over extended time periods, we test formula samples at a variety of extreme temperatures. A personal care product might well be stored in a steamy shower for months at a time, so we need to be sure that our formulas will stand up to these kinds of conditions. After 12 weeks of extreme temperature testing, we evaluate the samples.
If changes are minimal within the acceptable range, we can feel confident the product will retain its original quality on store shelves, and then on consumer shelves at home as well.
Unlike a perishable item, we expect that a personal care product should continue to work and be safe over long periods of time, even when the cap is removed for use. To ensure that even when that happens, our formulas will still be safe, we test our preservative efficacy. We do this by taking a small amount of formula and introducing common, household microorganisms in a controlled environment. We monitor these tests to prove that, even over time, the formulas have the ability to suppress microorganism growth and remain stable.
Every formula is tested on human skin to make sure there is minimum potential for skin irritations or allergic reactions. These tests are essential to ensure safety. However, we only test on human volunteers. We will never conduct these, or any other tests, on animals. To make certain our formulas are compatible with their packaging, we conduct extreme temperature tests with formulas in their final packages.
If the formula in its packaging passes these rigorous tests, we can feel confident about sending it out to stores.
Whenever we create a product such as sun protection, anti-cavity or dandruff relief that makes what the U. Food and Drug Administration FDA calls an over-the-counter drug claim, we send the formulation to an independent laboratory. Sign up today to keep your inbox as naturally active as our ingredients.
