I took the free bus to the main road and from there i took bus to Victory monument. I returned to my hotel in Silm by the BTS train. I hope my review would be helpful to someone who think of travel there by Bus at a cheap rate without much hassel aranging expensive taxis. Good luck..!
Kids loved it I told the kids it was a Thai version of Disneyland, and they wern't disappointed. It's not disneyland of course, but it was a fun-filled day.
It is essential to take a change of clothes: shirt AND pants, as you get absolutely soaked through on the splash ride. Some people wore spray jackets also. You should also take a pair of long pants usch as trackpants for your kids to fully enjoy the snowland area. It's very cold in there - about -5 celcius. Gloves would be good but did you bring gloves on your thai holiday?? The kids also needed a change of socks after snowland - advisable to bring socks as they lend you multi-used gum boots which get wet inside so a breeding ground for god knows what We also took a towel, and this came in handy too.
There aren't toooo many rides. But when we left after 6 hours, we wished we could have stayed longer.
Most of the rides seemed well geared to please the 8 - 18 year old crowd. My 7 year old went on most stuff too; but almost all the small rides for say 6 and under seemed closed. Catching the cable car up to the rides in the morning was a good idea. You get a lovely birds eye view of the impressive grounds. Two roller coasters, one is space mountain.
A few other classics like the spider. The price of foods, snacks and drinks was actually excellent. Not inflated the way that most places tend to be. We didn't choose the Baht buffet thing, I didn't think the kids would like it. There is also a KFC in the middle of the place with normal priced junk foods - incidently, they served a Thai green curry with Pepsi for 80Baht, and I thought it was pretty delicsh. After spending the day at the top end where most of the rides are, you need to take into account a little extra time to walk back to the front gate.
You will pass several interesting things to do such as feeding the fish, feeding elephants, elephant ride and some stuff like this. Probably if you assume you'll need an hour to make your way from the rides back down to the main gate you'll have time to fit most of this stuff in. During the weekdays, before 12 - you will have no queing, so can resit rides over and over :D. After 12, the re-que will not be such a long wait. I'm not sure about weekends. We purposely chose weekdays so as to avoid any crowds.
The sideshow alleys were very popular and also it was possible to win stuff!! On the "fishing game" it's a bit like every child wins a prize. The darts game seemed to have the highest turn over of prizes from key rings to small bears to medium bears. Most of the other games seemed like classic very difficult ones; but we did see quite a few ppl win teddys. We all won a small stuffed item.
The maintanance of the place and the cleanliness of the toilets was way above usual Asian standards. So if you have kids in the age range say or so, and are looking for a full day outing they will LOVE, I would recommend this place, find an online site and pay pp.
Rahula S 81 contributions. So many reviews helped me to organise my trip successfully so in return i intend to forward some tips for fellow travellers 1 Get BTS to Victory monument station and then Take Bus AC from Victory monument cost is 24Baht per head.
The place where you can get the bus you may ask from security prople in BTS. They are ok with English. Bus takes about mts 2 Do not take taxi after getting off BUS. Free shuttle bus available every 10 mts to and from Park 3 When you arrive park first take cable car then you can get a good idea about park and plan attraction order.
Do not waste time on taking photos of love garden seven wonders etc, because enough time is there to do so in return journey. GOOD if you can leave the lace at 4pm. Very reasonable offers. Lots of Gravity. Thailand, Thanyaburi, Dream World Bangkok. Or a private van from Victory Monument. Please print a local Thai map to ask around for directions. After booking, print out the booking slip, go or ask for information counter next to ticket counter to redemption your ticket, no queuing.
Week days less local Thai crowd, short queue. Skip the Hollywood Action in Thai language. The sky coaster, Raptor spinning dance with music and Hurricane flip and do somersaults are fun. Giant House and huge sun flowers garden outside do some great photo section , follow by 4D Movie great fun even in Thai.
Other food stalls were available with reasonable price. We spend one hour inside -5 C degree environment. The monorail and overhead Cable Car round trip were time consuming, we decided to skip. Scream or Ghost house was not scary at all, but it depend on individual. I may suggested, the Love garden for loving couples who plan for wedding photo.
In actual fact, we saw some local Thai celebrities were doing filming or MTV in the lovely garden. Will never step foot in your park UNTIL you charge foreigners the same price as a Thai, we in the UK do not charge foreigners double or triple the price of a UK citizen so why do you as a park think it is ok to charge foreigners double , this is sure a fast way to loose custom. Dreamworld is an amusement park for 1 to 12 year olds, with a few rides for older kids. We spent a day there, and our eight year old had a fun time. Overall value: fair to middling.
We paid Baht for adults, and for an 8 year old in July of We purchased a voucher for the tickets through hotels 2 Thailand. Use Hotels 2 Thailand — great turn-around on the voucher, and easy to process on arrival go to the information room, not the front ticket booth.
When to go: mid-week. Either take an air conditioned van from Mo Chit bus terminal a good distance from the Mo Chit BTS to Future park mall, and then a taxi to Dreamworld, or take a private van from victory monument to the park. Return the same way. The park looks and feels well worn. Bathrooms are quite clean, with the best being near the lake.
General impression: got to keep it all in context. For a kid from Bangkok who would never have been anywhere else, Dreamworld would be heaven. The Grand Canyon is a water rapids ride on which you will get drenched. The haunted house is low-end walk-through carnival sideshow quality that will scare the eight and under crowd, while giving the adults unintended laughs.
The building looks like a permanent tent, and during the ride you can see light shining through gaps between tent and ground. The monorail was, well, a monorail above half the park. The train was typical, and fun, though you won't find any crossing gates anywhere, so if you see tracks, watch out for the train. One has to remember that the Thai concept of physical safety isn't the same as North Americans expect.
The playport was great. One nice feature is that it is really well controlled, so we felt our son was safe playing in it. Speedy Mouse is okay — small but fun. Paddle boats are quite good. Antique cars were fun, but be aware — no seatbelts. Summation: It's cheesy, laughably knock-off, not that well maintained overall, though with moments of decent quality gardens , and not worth the full price.
That said, if you've nothing else to do, your 8 and under will likely not give a hoot, and have a good time. Just don't expect much, and you'll do fine. One note of caution, avoid rides that look rusty. Poonam Verma Noida, India contributions. This amusement park is so amazing. I liked it very much. It is best place in Thailand to visit with your kids. It is so huge and has many types of rides, activities and shows. Roller coaster ride is just awesome. They also have cable car ride.
They have toy shops. Has good food outlets to have some quick bites if you are hungry. They have seperate restaurants for Indian visitors where they serve Indian food which was also good in taste, they can increase variety in desserts. But one day is not enough to view complete park. Keep atleast two days for this park. It has lot activities for kids above 5yrs. Not only kids but elders can also enjoy in it. As there are many games which can be played by elders too.
